These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, and related services operated under the name RevealRed (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
RevealRed provides a platform for users to share experiences and information about companies, services, and related topics, and for verified professionals ("Resolvers") to offer help where the product allows. Features may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
2. Eligibility
You represent that you:
- Are at least the age of majority in your place of residence (or have verifiable parental consent where required).
- Have authority to enter these Terms if you use the Service on behalf of an organization.
- Will comply with applicable laws and these Terms.
We may refuse service, close accounts, or limit access where we reasonably believe eligibility or use is inappropriate.
3. Accounts and registration
You may need an account for certain features. You agree to provide accurate information, safeguard your credentials, and notify us promptly of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account except where our systems are demonstrably at fault.
4. User content
You may submit text, files, links, and other materials ("User Content") to the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant RevealRed and its service providers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute User Content solely to operate, improve, promote, and protect the Service, including moderation, security, backup, and compliance with law.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant the above license and that your User Content does not violate law or third-party rights.
5. Anonymous posting
Where the product offers anonymous posting, we design the Service so that your public identity is not displayed to other users in the ordinary operation of the Service. Anonymity has limits: for example, details in your story may still allow others to guess who you are, and we may process information as described in our Privacy Policy (including to operate the Service and respond to valid legal requests).
Legal compulsion. If a court, regulator, law-enforcement body, or other competent authority issues a lawful order or legally binding request, you agree that RevealRed may disclose identifying or account information necessary to comply, including information that may link an anonymous post to an account holder.
We do not warrant that anonymity will hold in every circumstance. Serious security incidents, sophisticated attacks, or errors could theoretically affect data we try to protect, and we may be required or compelled by law to disclose information that identifies you or links you to content. You should not treat anonymous posting as an absolute shield against identification in those rare but real situations.
6. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, fraudulent, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or stalk others, or encourage violence or self-harm.
- Post malware, scrape or overload the Service, or circumvent security or access controls.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Use the Service to coordinate harm, discrimination, or illegal activity.
- Collect personal data about users without lawful basis and clear disclosure where required.
Additional expectations for posts and comments appear in our Community Guidelines.
7. Moderation and enforcement
We may review, remove, restrict, or refuse User Content or accounts that we believe violate these Terms, our policies, or applicable law, or that pose risk to users or the Service. We are not obligated to monitor all content. Enforcement may be automated, manual, or both.
8. Resolvers and professionals
Resolvers are independent users offering professional services subject to separate registration, verification rules, and product terms. RevealRed does not provide professional advice. Any engagement between authors and Resolvers is between those parties; review credentials and terms carefully.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, including branding, software, and design (excluding your User Content), is owned by RevealRed or its licensors. Except for the limited rights to use the Service as offered, no rights are granted.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVEALRED DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. USER CONTENT IS PROVIDED BY USERS; WE DO NOT ENDORSE OR VERIFY ALL STATEMENTS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVEALRED AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR USER CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID REVEALRED FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
12. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RevealRed and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk, or legal requirement. Provisions that by nature should survive (e.g., licenses to the extent needed to retain records, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity) survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
Replace this section with the governing law, venue, and dispute mechanism chosen by your counsel (for example, arbitration vs. courts, class-action waivers where enforceable, and the state or country whose laws apply). Until you do, this placeholder states only that disputes should be resolved in accordance with applicable law in the jurisdiction where RevealRed's operating entity is established, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country provide otherwise.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-product message) where required by law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires explicit consent.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement regarding the subject matter here. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms: use our Contact page or the legal contact address your organization publishes for regulatory correspondence.
