RevealRed exists so people can share real experiences about companies, services, and workplaces — and get help when the product allows. These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") set expectations for everyone. They work together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Violations may result in removal of content, suspension, or termination.
1. Spirit of the platform
- Truthful and good-faith accounts. Share what you reasonably believe to be accurate. Do not fabricate events or evidence.
- Specific and useful. Context (what happened, when, and how it affected you) helps others more than vague insults.
- Respect. You can criticize conduct and systems without dehumanizing individuals or groups.
2. What we want to see
- First-hand or clearly attributed experiences relevant to work, hiring, scams, products, or services.
- Documentation when you have it (screenshots, emails, contracts) that you are entitled to share.
- Constructive discussion in comments, including disagreement that stays on-topic.
- Use of anonymous posting where you need protection — without using anonymity as a shield for abuse.
3. Anonymous posting — what to expect
Anonymous posting is meant to hide your name and profile from other users and the public in normal use. It is not a promise that no one will ever learn who you are. People may still guess from context; and in exceptional situations—such as a major security incident or where the law requires us to respond—we may not be able to keep the link between your account and a post confidential. We are honest about these limits so you can decide what to share. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for fuller detail.
4. What is not allowed
4.1 Harassment, hate, and violence
- No threats, incitement, or coordination of violence or harm.
- No targeted harassment, brigading, or doxxing (posting private personal data to harass).
- No slurs, hateful conduct, or content that attacks people based on protected characteristics where such rules apply.
4.2 Illegal and high-risk content
- No content that is illegal in the jurisdictions where we operate or that facilitates crime.
- No sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- No instructions to evade law enforcement or commit fraud.
4.3 Privacy and third parties
- Do not post someone else's private data (home address, personal phone, ID numbers, medical records) unless there is a strong public-interest justification and you have consulted counsel — when in doubt, redact.
- Do not impersonate individuals, companies, or RevealRed staff.
4.4 Deception and manipulation
- No false statements you know to be false with intent to harm reputation (defamation risk — users are responsible for their words).
- No spam, fake engagement, bots, or coordinated inauthentic campaigns.
- No misleading links, malware, or phishing.
4.5 Platform abuse
- No scraping, security probing, or attempts to access data or accounts without authorization.
- No use of the Service to compete unfairly or to harvest user data without consent and lawful basis.
5. Resolvers and professionals
Resolvers should represent qualifications honestly, follow applicable professional rules, and treat authors with professionalism. Authors are free to ignore or decline offers. Paid or credit-based features must be used in line with product rules — no extortion, harassment, or misleading promises of outcomes.
6. How moderation works
We use a combination of automated signals, user reports, and human review. We may remove or restrict content, add warnings, suspend features, or terminate accounts. We are not obligated to pre-screen all posts. Enforcement may consider severity, history, and risk.
Notices. Where feasible and appropriate, we may notify you of enforcement actions and the reason in general terms. Legal or safety emergencies may limit what we can disclose.
7. Reporting
If you see a violation, contact us through Contact with links, screenshots, and a clear description. For imminent danger, contact local emergency services first.
8. Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, reply through the same support channel with additional context. We will review in good faith. This process does not waive any rights you may have under applicable law.
9. Updates
We may update these Guidelines. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Guidelines, subject to applicable law.
