Thinking of buying an Ola scooter? Read this first.
I usually don’t post like this, but the number of complaints about Ola Electric scooters is too big to ignore anymore.
🔴 Service is the biggest failure
- Thousands of complaints have been reported across India regarding poor after-sales service and delays.
- Service centres are overloaded, with scooters lying unattended for weeks or even months.
- Many users say getting a service slot itself is a struggle.
🔴 Real user experiences (not marketing)
- One user reported their scooter became a “dead machine” within months, stuck in parking mode with no support for days.
- Others claim scooters stayed in service centres for months without proper repair or communication.
- In some cases, customers waited 1–2 months just to get a service slot.
🔴 Quality & reliability concerns
- Frequent complaints about software glitches, screen issues, charging problems, and random failures.
- Some users say the scooter stops working suddenly or needs repeated fixes.
🔴 Even authorities noticed
- Consumer authorities in India flagged over 10,000 complaints related to service and product issues.
- In multiple cases, courts have ordered refunds or compensation due to defective scooters and poor service.
⚠️ To be fair: not every user has a bad experience, and some report good performance and range. But the pattern of complaints—especially around service—is consistent and widespread.
👉 My take:
A scooter is not just about features or range. If service fails, the entire ownership experience collapses.
Think twice before buying. Do proper research. Talk to real owners, not just ads.
